a lot happened in may...

my grandmother on my mom's side passed away which was sad but i'm glad she's no longer suffering.

rest in peace charlie jean self <3

despite this sad event we had a lot of good times in may too. we went out with friends a lot and had fun. we went to the "bike prom" which was put on by bike-friendly arlington. everyone got together and rode bikes around town in thrift store prom clothes :o) we ate dinner at potager and then went to caves and d and j's and then back to someone's house for a pool party. unfortunately i couldn't bike because i was too short for the bike i borrowed lol but it was great just to be a part of the event in some way.

jens and i also had our 5 year wedding anniversary and he surprised me with a party at his parents house- complete with lots of family and friends :o) it was great! thank you jens! here's to the next 5 years!

at the very end of may we went to a party at this hippie commune i never knew existed in arlington near uta. basically some people live in a row of houses on this one street and share things and share all the backyards, etc. they have a pool, hot tub, etc. it's pretty awesome! i met a lot of great people and hope to hang out with them more :o)

as for work i've been getting into the swing of things and am liking it even more...which is good because jens didn't get that job in san marcos so he'll be going to paramedic school in dallas starting at the end of june. so we'll be here at least another 8 months. but it's all good....i don't like a lot about dfw but i'm loving our friends and all the fun we've been having :o)
